Bio

Bunny Wailer, born Neville O'Riley Livingston on 10 April 1947 in Kingston, Jamaica, was a foundational figure in reggae music. He co-founded the Wailers in 1963 alongside Bob Marley and Peter Tosh, helping to shape the early sound of Jamaican popular music through rocksteady and roots reggae. After leaving the group in the mid-1970s, he pursued a solo career that produced landmark albums such as Blackheart Man (1976) and earned him three Grammy Awards for Best Reggae Album. Wailer remained active as a performer, songwriter, and cultural ambassador until his death on 2 March 2021.
