Primal Scream is a Scottish rock band formed in Glasgow in 1982. The group emerged from the post-punk scene and later became known for blending rock, electronic, and dance music, particularly after their 1991 album Screamadelica, which fused indie rock with rave and dub influences. Over the decades, the band has explored a wide range of styles including garage rock, psychedelia, and Britpop, while maintaining a core lineup led by vocalist Bobby Gillespie. Their work has remained influential in the alternative and dance-rock genres.
