Shinedown is an American rock band formed in Jacksonville, Florida, in 2001. The group rose to prominence with their debut album Leave a Whisper (2003), which featured the hit single "45" and established their post-grunge and alternative metal sound. Over the following two decades, Shinedown released several successful albums including The Sound of Madness (2008) and Attention Attention (2018), consistently charting on the Billboard 200. Their music is characterized by powerful vocals, anthemic choruses, and introspective lyrics, earning them a dedicated fanbase and multiple platinum certifications.
