Bio
Prince Paul is an American hip hop DJ and producer born April 2, 1967 in Amityville, New York. He first gained prominence as the DJ for Stetsasonic and later became a key figure in the development of alternative hip hop through his production work with De La Soul, including the landmark album 3 Feet High and Rising. Known for his innovative use of sampling and conceptual approach to album-making, he has also released solo projects and collaborated with artists such as Handsome Boy Modeling School and Gravediggaz.
