Bio
Nick Drake was an English singer-songwriter and guitarist whose intimate, melancholic folk music gained widespread recognition only after his death. Born in Burma and raised in Warwickshire, he recorded three albums between 1969 and 1972—Five Leaves Left, Bryter Layter, and Pink Moon—characterized by his soft voice, intricate fingerpicking, and poetic lyrics. Despite limited commercial success during his lifetime, Drake's work has since become highly influential in the folk and singer-songwriter genres, inspiring countless artists with its emotional depth and understated beauty. He died in 1974 at the age of 26.
