Loy Mendonsa

Bio

Loy Mendonsa is an Indian composer, singer, and musician best known as one half of the Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy trio that has scored numerous Bollywood soundtracks since the late 1990s. Born in Mumbai, he began his career as a keyboardist and arranger before forming the group with Shankar Mahadevan and Ehsaan Noorani. The trio’s work spans films such as Dil Chahta Hai, Kal Ho Naa Ho, and My Name Is Khan, blending Western and Indian musical traditions. Mendonsa also contributes as a playback singer and continues to work on independent and film projects.
