Bio
Andrew Litton is an American conductor born in New York City. He studied at Juilliard and rose to prominence as Music Director of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and later the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. He has also served as Principal Conductor of the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra and Artistic Director of the Minnesota Orchestra’s Sommerfest. Litton is noted for his clear, energetic interpretations of the Romantic and late-Romantic repertoire and has made numerous recordings for BIS, Virgin Classics, and Decca. He maintains an active international guest-conducting schedule with major orchestras worldwide.
