Warren Haynes is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter born in Asheville, North Carolina. He is best known for his work with the Allman Brothers Band and as the founder of Gov't Mule, both of which helped define the Southern rock and jam band scenes. Haynes has also maintained a prolific solo career, releasing several albums that blend blues rock, modern blues, and Southern rock influences. His guitar playing and songwriting have earned him recognition as one of the leading figures in contemporary blues-based rock music.
