Rafael Omar Polaco Molina, known professionally as Polaco or Polakán, is a Puerto Rican rapper born on November 1, 1976, in Carolina, Puerto Rico. He rose to prominence as one half of the influential reggaeton duo Lito & Polaco, whose raw, street-oriented lyrics helped shape the early sound of Latin hip hop and reggaeton in the late 1990s and early 2000s. After the duo disbanded, Polaco continued releasing solo material, maintaining a presence in the Puerto Rican urban-music scene.
