Big L was an American rapper born Lamont Coleman on May 30, 1974, in Harlem, New York. He was active in the hip hop scene during the 1990s and was known for his work in boom bap, east coast hip hop, hardcore hip hop, and old school hip hop. Big L died in 1999.
