Marcus Füreder, known professionally as Parov Stelar, is an Austrian musician and producer born in Linz in 1974. He is widely recognized as a pioneer of the electro swing genre, blending vintage jazz and swing samples with modern electronic beats. His work also incorporates elements of nu jazz and downtempo, creating a distinctive sound that has influenced the global electronic music scene. Füreder began releasing music in the early 2000s and gained international recognition with albums such as "Coco" and "The Princess." He performs both as a solo artist and with his live band, The Parov Stelar Band, known for energetic performances that combine DJ sets with live instrumentation.
