Air is a French electronic music duo formed in Versailles in 1995 by Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel. The pair gained international recognition with their 1998 debut album Moon Safari, which blended downtempo, trip hop, and ambient sounds. Their work often features lush synth textures, retro-futuristic production, and collaborations with vocalists such as Beth Hirsch and Françoise Hardy.
