Bio
Depeche Mode formed in Basildon, England in 1980. The group pioneered synthpop and new wave with early hits like 'Just Can’t Get Enough' and later explored darker electronic sounds on albums such as 'Black Celebration' and 'Violator'. Core members Dave Gahan, Martin Gore, and Andy Fletcher (until 2022) defined the band’s sound through synthesizers and introspective lyrics. 'Violator' (1990) brought global success with singles 'Personal Jesus' and 'Enjoy the Silence'. The band has sold over 100 million records and continues to release new material, including the 2023 album 'Memento Mori'.
