Rawayana

Bio

Rawayana is a Venezuelan alternative rock and reggae band formed in Caracas. They blend rock, reggae, ska, and Latin rhythms with socially conscious lyrics. The group gained prominence in the Venezuelan indie scene with their 2012 debut album “Rawayana” and later achieved wider recognition across Latin America with releases such as “Cuando la tristeza te bese” (2015) and “¡Viene gente rara!” (2018). Their sound mixes upbeat grooves, melodic hooks, and politically tinged themes reflecting Venezuelan life. The band has collaborated with artists including Monsieur Periné and toured extensively in Latin America and Spain. They remain one of Venezuela’s most internationally visible contemporary acts.
