Amitabh Bhattacharya is an Indian lyricist, singer and composer active in Hindi cinema. He began his career writing lyrics for films such as Dev.D and has since become one of Bollywood’s most sought-after wordsmiths, penning songs for major productions including Rockstar, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, and Brahmastra. His work spans romantic ballads, folk-infused anthems and contemporary pop, often collaborating with composers A. R. Rahman, Pritam and Vishal–Shekhar. Bhattacharya has also sung several tracks and occasionally composes. He is known for poetic yet accessible Hindi lyrics that blend modern sensibilities with traditional imagery.
