Layzie Bone (born Steven Howse on September 23, 1977) is an American rapper from Cleveland, Ohio. He is best known as a founding member of the hip-hop group Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, which rose to prominence in the mid-1990s with a distinctive rapid-fire vocal style and multi-platinum albums such as E. 1999 Eternal. Beyond his work with Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Layzie Bone has released solo projects and collaborated with numerous artists across the rap and R&B spectrum. His contributions to the group and his individual recordings have helped shape the sound of Midwest hip-hop.
