Bio
Glen Hansard is an Irish singer-songwriter and actor born in Ballymun, Dublin, in 1970. He first gained recognition as the frontman of the folk-rock band The Frames, which he founded in 1990. Hansard later achieved wider international success with the duo The Swell Season alongside Czech musician Markéta Irglová. Their collaboration culminated in the 2007 film Once, for which Hansard co-wrote the Academy Award-winning song "Falling Slowly." Known for his raw, emotive vocal style and acoustic guitar work, Hansard has released several solo albums blending folk, rock, and blues influences.
