Franz Ferdinand is a Scottish indie rock band formed in Glasgow in 2001. The group rose to prominence in the mid-2000s with their self-titled debut album, which featured the hit single "Take Me Out." Known for their angular guitar riffs and danceable rhythms, the band helped define the post-punk revival movement. The band consists of Alex Kapranos (vocals/guitar), Bob Hardy (bass), Julian Corrie (keyboards/guitar), and Dino Bardot (guitar).
