Novo Amor is the stage name of Ali Lacey, a Welsh singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Cardiff. He began releasing music around 2014, initially self-recording intimate, atmospheric songs that gained traction through platforms like Bandcamp. His sound blends ambient folk with indie and cinematic elements, often built around delicate acoustic guitar, piano, and layered vocals. Key releases include the EPs "Woodgate, NY" and "Bathing Beach," and the full-length albums "Birthplace" (2018) and "Cannot Be, Whatsoever" (2020). He has collaborated with artists such as Ed Tullett and Lowswimmer, and his music has been featured in film and television. Novo Amor maintains a dedicated independent following through direct-to-fan channels and his own label imprint.
