Force M.D.'s are an American R&B vocal group formed in Staten Island, New York, in 1981. Originally known as the Force MCs, the group blended doo-wop harmonies with contemporary R&B and became early pioneers of the new jack swing sound. Their 1985 hit "Tender Love," written and produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, reached the Billboard Hot 100 and helped establish their signature quiet storm style. The lineup has included members such as Trisco Pearson, Jessie D., and brothers Stevie D. and Rodney "Khalil" Lundy, and the group continues to perform and record.
