Monchy & Alexandra was a Dominican bachata duo formed in 1999 by Ramón Rijo (Monchy) and Alexandra Cabrera de la Cruz. They rose to prominence in the early 2000s with their romantic bachata style, blending traditional Dominican rhythms with contemporary production. Their breakthrough hit "Hoja En Blanco" became a defining bachata anthem across Latin America. The duo disbanded in 2008 following Monchy's departure from the music industry.
