Bio

Lali Puna is a German electronic music group formed in 1998 in Weilheim in Oberbayern. The project is led by Korean-German musician Valerie Trebeljahr, who provides vocals and plays multiple instruments, supported by a rotating cast of collaborators. Their sound blends electropop, IDM, and indie electronic elements, characterized by intricate beats, melodic synth lines, and introspective lyrics. Since their debut album "Tridecoder" in 1999, Lali Puna has released several critically regarded records on the Morr Music label. The group is known for its atmospheric production and Trebeljahr's distinctive, understated vocal style. Their music often explores themes of technology, alienation, and human connection in the digital age.
