Bio
Paul Simon is an American singer-songwriter and musician, best known as one half of the folk-rock duo Simon & Garfunkel. Born in Newark, New Jersey in 1941, he achieved international success in the 1960s with hits such as "The Sound of Silence" and "Bridge Over Troubled Water." After the duo disbanded, Simon launched a successful solo career, releasing acclaimed albums including "Graceland" (1986), which incorporated South African musical styles and became one of the best-selling records of all time. His songwriting often blends introspective lyrics with diverse musical influences, from folk and rock to world music.
