Michael Bolton is an American singer and songwriter known for his powerful tenor voice and adult contemporary ballads. Born in New Haven, Connecticut, he rose to prominence in the late 1980s and early 1990s with hits such as "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You," "When a Man Loves a Woman," and "Said I Loved You…But I Lied." His work spans soft rock and pop, and he has also written songs for other artists including Laura Branigan and KISS.
