Karim Ziad is an Algerian musician, composer and bandleader born in Algiers in 1966. He is recognized for his work in gnawa, Moroccan chaabi and Moroccan pop, often blending traditional North African rhythms with jazz and contemporary influences. Ziad has collaborated with leading figures in world music and has released several albums that showcase his skills as a percussionist and arranger. His recordings and live performances have helped bring gnawa and Moroccan musical traditions to international audiences.
