Bio
Seu Jorge is a Brazilian singer-songwriter and actor born in Belford Roxo, Rio de Janeiro state. He first gained prominence in the late 1990s as a member of the samba-funk collective Farofa Carioca before launching a solo career that blends traditional samba and pagode with contemporary MPB influences. Beyond music, Jorge is known for his acting roles in films such as "City of God" and "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou," where his performances of David Bowie songs in Portuguese further expanded his international profile.
