Bio
Red Hot Chili Peppers formed in Los Angeles in 1983. The quartet—Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Chad Smith and John Frusciante—blended funk, punk and hard rock into an instantly recognizable sound. Their 1991 album Blood Sugar Sex Magik and 1999’s Californication each sold millions worldwide and earned multiple Grammys. Later releases Stadium Arcadium and The Getaway topped charts while the band maintained a reputation for high-energy live shows. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012.
