Michael Sembello is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist best known for his 1983 hit single "Maniac," which was featured on the soundtrack of the film Flashdance and reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100. His work spans pop, rock, and R&B, and he has contributed as a songwriter and session musician for numerous artists in addition to his solo recordings.
