Bio
Kathryn Stott is an English classical pianist born in Nelson, Lancashire. She studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School and the Royal Academy of Music, later winning the 1974 Leeds International Piano Competition’s Bronze Medal. Stott has performed with major orchestras including the Philharmonia, London Symphony, and BBC Philharmonic, and collaborated with violinist Yo-Yo Ma on several recordings. Her repertoire spans Romantic and contemporary works, with notable focus on British and French composers. She has recorded extensively for BIS, Chandos, and Hyperion, and served as artistic director of the Australian Festival of Chamber Music.
