Bio

Marcelo D2 is a Brazilian rapper and singer-songwriter from Rio de Janeiro, best known for blending hip-hop with samba and rock influences. He first gained prominence as the frontman of the rap-rock band Planet Hemp before launching a successful solo career that helped popularize Brazilian hip-hop in the late 1990s and early 2000s. His music often mixes Portuguese-language rhymes with traditional Brazilian rhythms, creating a distinctive sound that bridges urban and roots styles.
