Everything Is Recorded is the recording alias of British producer and musician Richard Russell. Born in Dollis Hill, London, in 1971, Russell founded the influential XL Recordings label in 1989 and has since shaped the sound of British electronic and alternative music through his work with artists such as The Prodigy, Adele, and Bobby Womack. Under the Everything Is Recorded moniker, Russell creates collaborative, genre-fluid projects that blend soul, hip-hop, jazz, and electronic textures. His 2018 debut album of the same name featured contributions from artists including Sampha, Giggs, and Kamasi Washington, and was followed by further releases that continue to explore collective, studio-based creativity.
