Bio
T. Rex was an English rock band fronted by singer-songwriter Marc Bolan. Originally formed as Tyrannosaurus Rex in the late 1960s, the group began as an acoustic folk-rock duo before evolving into a full electric band. Their early work featured poetic, mystical lyrics and acoustic instrumentation. By the early 1970s, T. Rex had become one of the central acts of the glam rock movement. Hits such as "Get It On (Bang a Gong)" and "Cosmic Dancer" showcased Bolan's shift to electric guitars, catchy hooks, and flamboyant stage presence. The band remained active until Bolan's death in 1977.
