Frankie Miller is a Scottish rock singer-songwriter born in Glasgow in 1949. Known for his gritty, soul-infused vocal style, he emerged in the 1970s with a string of critically acclaimed albums blending rock, blues, and R&B. Miller wrote hits for artists such as Joe Cocker and Ray Charles, and his own recordings include the albums "Once in a Blue Moon" and "High Life." A stroke in 1994 curtailed his performing career, but his influence on British rock and soul remains widely recognized.
