Das EFX is an American hip hop duo formed in 1988 in Petersburg, Virginia. The group consists of Drayz and Skoob, who gained recognition in the early 1990s with their distinctive rapid-fire delivery and use of nonsensical, onomatopoeic lyrics. Their debut album "Dead Serious" (1992) achieved platinum status and featured the hit single "They Want EFX." Das EFX contributed significantly to the East Coast hip hop scene with their hardcore style and innovative wordplay throughout the 1990s.
