John Eric Calderón Osorio, known professionally as John Eric, is a Puerto Rican reggaeton artist born on March 4, 1983, in San Juan. He emerged in the early 2000s as part of the first wave of reggaeton musicians, contributing to the genre's rise from underground Puerto Rican parties to mainstream Latin music. His work helped shape the sound and style that would later dominate Latin urban music globally.
