Bio

Big Syke was an American rapper from Inglewood, California, best known for his work in the West Coast hip-hop scene. He rose to prominence in the mid-1990s through his collaborations with Tupac Shakur, appearing on several of Shakur’s albums and joining the rap collective Thug Life. His style blended g-funk grooves with introspective, street-level storytelling. Beyond his association with Shakur, Big Syke released solo material and worked with other West Coast artists, establishing himself as a respected voice in the genre. He continued recording and performing until his death in 2016.
