Royal Blood are a British rock duo from Brighton, formed in 2013. The band consists of Mike Kerr on vocals and bass and Ben Thatcher on drums. They are known for their heavy, riff-driven sound created using only bass and drums, often augmented by effects and amplification to produce a full-band texture. Their self-titled debut album, released in 2014, reached number one in the UK and earned them two Brit Award nominations. Royal Blood have since released several further albums, maintaining a reputation for high-energy live performances and a distinctive approach to rock instrumentation.
