Pam Tillis is an American country music singer and songwriter. Born in Plant City, Florida, in 1957, she is the daughter of country legend Mel Tillis. She rose to prominence in the early 1990s with a string of hits that blended traditional country with contemporary production, earning multiple CMA and ACM awards. Tillis is known for her distinctive voice and songwriting, with signature tracks including "Maybe It Was Memphis," "Shake the Sugar Tree," and "Spilled Perfume."
