Bio
L'Impératrice is a French nu-disco and French house band formed in Paris in 2012. The group blends retro-futuristic synths, funk basslines, and breezy French vocals to create a cosmopolitan dance sound that has become a staple of the European indie club scene. Since their debut EP in 2012, the six-piece has released two studio albums—"Matahari" (2018) and "Tako Tsubo" (2021)—and toured extensively across Europe, North America, and Asia. Their music is characterized by lush arrangements, vintage drum machines, and lyrics that mix playful romance with subtle social observation.
