The Alessi Brothers are an American soft-rock duo formed in 1977 by identical twins Billy and Bobby Alessi. Emerging from the New York music scene, they became known for their polished vocal harmonies and melodic songwriting, which placed them at the forefront of the yacht-rock movement. Their self-titled debut album yielded the hit single “Oh Lori,” and subsequent releases such as Driftin’ and Words & Music further showcased their breezy, radio-friendly sound. Though their chart success was concentrated in the late 1970s and early 1980s, the duo’s catalog has remained a touchstone for fans of sophisticated pop and yacht rock.
