Syleena Johnson is an American R&B and soul singer-songwriter from Harvey, Illinois. She rose to prominence in the early 2000s with her debut album Chapter 1: Love, Pain & Forgiveness and subsequent releases in the Chapter series. Known for her powerful, gospel-influenced vocals, she has collaborated with artists including Common, R. Kelly, and Kanye West. Johnson has also appeared on reality television and maintains an active career as an independent artist and label head.
