Tenor Saw (born Clive Bright, 12 February 1966 – 1988) was a Jamaican dancehall and reggae singer from Kingston. He rose to prominence in the mid-1980s with the single "Ring the Alarm," recorded for the Youth Promotion label, which became a dancehall anthem and established his reputation for sharp, socially conscious lyrics. His brief career also produced the album Fever (1987) and several other singles that blended roots reggae with the emerging digital dancehall sound. Tenor Saw’s work influenced a generation of artists before his untimely death in 1988.
