Bio
Melody Gardot is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist from Philadelphia. After a near-fatal bicycle accident in 2003, she began writing and performing as part of her recovery and released her debut EP in 2006. Her intimate, jazz-inflected style draws from blues, bossa nova, and soul, delivered in a distinctive smoky voice. Gardot has released five studio albums including Worrisome Heart, My One and Only Thrill, and Sunset in the Blue, and has collaborated with artists such as Sting and Charlie Watts. She is known for her humanitarian work and multilingual performances.
