Bio
The Vienna State Opera Orchestra is the resident orchestra of the Vienna State Opera, one of the world's leading opera houses. Founded in 1869 alongside the opening of the opera house itself, the ensemble has maintained a central role in the musical life of Vienna for over 150 years. It performs a wide repertoire of operas and orchestral concerts, drawing on the rich tradition of Viennese musical culture.
