Stevie B is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, best known for his contributions to the freestyle and Miami bass scenes. He rose to prominence in the late 1980s and early 1990s with a string of dance-pop and R&B hits, most notably the ballad "Because I Love You (The Postman Song)," which topped the Billboard Hot 100 in 1990. Throughout his career, Stevie B has blended elements of freestyle, funk melody, and Latin hip-hop, releasing multiple albums and maintaining a presence in the dance music community.
