Bio
Alabama is an American country music band formed in 1969 in Fort Payne, Alabama. The group consists of Randy Owen, Teddy Gentry, Jeff Cook, and drummer Mark Herndon. They rose to prominence in the late 1970s and early 1980s, becoming one of the most successful country acts of the era with numerous chart-topping hits and multi-platinum albums. Known for blending traditional country with rock and pop influences, Alabama helped define the sound of 1980s country music.
