Diana Krall is a Canadian jazz pianist and singer born in Nanaimo, British Columbia. She rose to prominence in the 1990s with a series of acclaimed albums on the Verve and Impulse! labels, blending traditional jazz standards with contemporary pop and rock material. Krall is known for her husky contralto voice, sophisticated piano playing, and intimate live performances. Her breakthrough album All for You (1996) and the multi-platinum When I Look in Your Eyes (1999) established her as one of the leading contemporary jazz vocalists. She has collaborated with artists including Tony Bennett, Elvis Costello, and her husband Elvis Costello. Krall has won multiple Grammy Awards and sold over 15 million albums worldwide.
