Bio
T-Bone Walker (1910–1975) was an American blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter whose innovative electric style helped shape modern blues and early rock and roll. Born Aaron Thibeaux Walker in Linden, Texas, he began performing in Dallas in the 1920s and later moved to Los Angeles, where he recorded his landmark 1947 hit "Call It Stormy Monday (But Tuesday Is Just as Bad)." His fluid single-note solos, expressive bends, and use of the electric guitar influenced generations of players, including B.B. King, Chuck Berry, and Jimi Hendrix. Walker’s recordings for labels such as Imperial and Atlantic remain cornerstones of the electric blues repertoire.
