Bio

Paul Carrack is an English singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from Sheffield, South Yorkshire. He first gained prominence in the late 1970s as the lead vocalist of Ace, scoring a hit with “How Long.” Carrack later joined Squeeze, providing lead vocals on their 1981 single “Tempted,” and was a founding member of Mike + The Mechanics, singing on the hits “Silent Running” and “The Living Years.” His solo career spans soul, pop, and soft rock, highlighted by the 1987 single “Don’t Shed a Tear.” He has collaborated with artists including Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, and Roger Waters, and continues to release solo albums and tour regularly.
