David Benoit is an American jazz pianist, composer, and producer born in Los Angeles in 1953. He is known for his work in contemporary jazz, smooth jazz, and jazz fusion, blending classical influences with pop sensibilities. Benoit has released numerous solo albums and collaborated with artists such as Al Jarreau, Russ Freeman, and the Rippingtons. He is also recognized for his long-running association with the Peanuts television specials, having composed and performed music for several animated productions.
